Arrested Development, Season 4: A motion picture Rubik’s cube, next level television. And hilarious, too. Watch it at least twice to catch everything you’ll miss the first time. Stream it on Netflix!

David Byrne & St. Vincent (live at the State Theater, Portland ME): Saw this band play in Boston and loved the show so much we went again. Got there two hours early to get front row. Could see the sweat dripping off them. 8 piece horn section, and two of the best singer/songwriters around. Hands down, my all time favorite musical experience.

Fez (Xbox Live Arcade): Starting playing this puzzle/platformer last week, and can’t get enough. The depth of the game is outstanding. You literally have to think outside the box. Keep an eye out for the Legend of Zelda, Twin Peaks, and 2001 references.

Gravity: How did they make this movie??? Go out and see it on the big screen in 3D while you still can!!! It will blow your mind!

John Dies at the End: Saw the movie and loved it so much I read the book too. Sci-fi for slackers. So good. I won’t attempt to the explain the plot. Stream the film on Netflix, and then read the book.

David Bowie The Next Day: Record of the year. Bowie’s first record in ten years has everything I want from a Bowie record; Great songs sung by one of the greatest voices of our time.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: 2013 has been a great year for TMNT fans with a top notch new show (nickelodeon), and a stellar new comic book (IDW). Both mediums take all your expectations of what the Turtles can be and pushes them further. THE best versions of TMNT!

This is the End: One of man kinds finest achievements in cinematography? YES!

El Toro (Six Flags, Jackson, NJ): Billed as “Worlds Best Wooden Roller Coaster”, with a drop height of 176 feet, and a top speed of 70 mph, I have to agree. This coaster does things I never thought a wooden coasters could do.

“Weird Al” Yankovic (live at Casino Ballroom, Hampton, NH): One of the tightest groups I’ve ever seen, and Al, now in his mid-fifties, is clearly having a blast, while perfectly hitting every note. The most fun you’ll ever have at a rock show!
